The McDowell Research Center for Global IT Management
Located in the Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNCG, the McDowell Research Center for Global IT Management is made possible with a generous gift by Robert and Lissa McDowell. Mr. McDowell is Vice President for Information Worker Business Values at Microsoft Corporation. Lissa Shelley McDowell is a 1968 alumna of UNCG. In making their gift to the Bryan School, Mr. McDowell stated: “Both of us have always looked back on our educational experience, mine from VMI (Virginia Military Institute) and hers from UNCG, as an important development in our lives. We always felt a desire to give back to it.” The McDowell Center for Research is the nation’s first center to explore the worldwide applications of information technology.
