The McDowell Research Center is pleased to announce the first group of recipients to receive McDowell Research Grants. Four external grant proposals from outside UNCG were funded for $5000.00 each along with two internal grant proposals from UNCG. The grant proposals were chosen from a pool of 39 applicants from Untied States and abroad.
Preference was given to proposals in the two focus areas of MRC which are “IT in Healthcare” and “Global Information Technology.”
“We are very proud to provide this funding for these innovative grant proposals,” states MRC Director Prashant Palvia. “Our committee was surprised and overwhelmed with a larger number of proposals than expected and were pleased with the quality and scope of many of them.”
